Background & Approach
Melissa Mugno brings a background in dentistry, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and orofacial myofunctional therapy to the extended care team. Her career has included dental assisting, dental hygiene, dental leadership, and professional education.
She became a certified orofacial myologist in 2013. Her work connects oral muscle function with the broader dental and orthodontic care plan, with an emphasis on communication across disciplines.
As CEO of Faceology, Melissa also educates clinicians about myofunctional therapy, airway health, and multidisciplinary care. Her approachable teaching style helps connect clinical concepts with practical patient education.

Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist
Background & Approach
Susi Quintana is a Registered Dental Hygienist and Certified Orofacial Myologist whose work focuses on orofacial muscle function and coordinated care. Based in the Katy and Houston area, she brings a preventive dental background to myofunctional assessment and therapy.
Her clinical experience includes pre- and postoperative myofunctional care and collaboration with orthodontic expansion and surgical treatment. She helps connect structural treatment with attention to oral muscle patterns and function.
Susi is also an educator and consultant. Her professional teaching includes airway screening, myofunctional disorders, and collaborative care for dentists, orthodontists, and treatment coordinators.

Nutrition Consultant • Preparation & Recovery
Background & Approach
Yvette Raymond supports surgical preparation and recovery through nutrition consultation. Her interests in psychology and nutrition inform a patient-centered approach to preparation and recovery.
She studied psychology and political science at the University of St. Thomas, graduating in 2011, and has operated UrbanNourish since 2012. At AOS, she contributes nutrition-focused support alongside the surgical and orthodontic team.
Her consultations give patients an opportunity to discuss nutrition goals and how those goals fit the treatment plan. She coordinates her role with the clinical team’s instructions for preparation and recovery.
